Belmond Eagle Island beautifully located on the island of Xaxaba in Okavango Delta and surrounded by exotic Ilala Palms.

The luxurious and remote Eagle Island Camp overlooks a surrounding lagoon which is fed by the tranquil waterways of the Delta.

Being shaded by indigenous trees, Eagle Island provides a calm retreat from the warm African sun. This camp's natural beauty and serene tranquillity make it a memorable getaway from where Africa's untamed wildlife can be observed.

This exclusive Camp at Xaxaba Island is one of the Okavango Delta's most beautiful natural locations. Vast floodplains, clear waterways, and palm-lined islands characterise this area of Botswana.

The Luxury Tents are situated on raised wooden platforms from where lovely views can be enjoyed. The spacious decks offer chairs and a hammock, which invite for a relaxing time while watching the wildlife.

The Okavango is one of the most extensive inland water systems in the world. It is the only inland delta of this kind and a unique oasis of life in the heart of the desert. The floodplains cover thousands of square kilometres and are home to a large variety of animal, fish, plant and birdlife.

The Eagle Island Camp area is made up of many main channels and lagoons as well as islands, floodplains, and mainland regions. The watercourses of this inland delta are always changing based on the annual flooding.
