The Makalali Conservancy covers some 20 000 hectares of pristine bushveld in South Africa which is intersected by seasonal watercourses and dotted with plains and wooded areas. The diverse habitat lends itself to habitation by numerous different species, including 4 of the "Big 5", lion, leopard, rhino and elephant (no free-roaming buffalo at the moment), giraffe, zebra, and warthog. Birdlife is also abundant and well represented, making this a haven for keen bird-watchers.
The main lodge at Little Garonga offers guests access to an indoor as well as an outdoor lounge area. The covered breakfast deck outside comfortably accommodates diners while spectacular views of the scenic bushveld are enjoyed. The pool area at the main lodge at Little Garonga provides guests with a swimming pool with comfortable loungers where guests are welcome to relax in tranquillity.
Furthermore, Little Garonga's main lodge offers air-conditioned comfort in the spacious dining area, the inviting lounge and a seating area equipped with a fireplace and a self-service bar.
The Hambleden Suite consists of one main bedroom as well as an additional separate bedroom which can accommodate two children, making this luxurious suite ideal for couples and small families. For the comfort of the guests, the Hambleden Suite is fully air-conditioned.
The suite's indoor as well as outdoor lounge are both covered and provides guests with great space to dine and relax. The spacious bathroom features an excellent hand-beaten copper bathtub, an indoor and outdoor shower is also available. Chiltern & Buckingham Suite
The exclusive Chiltern and the Buckingham Suite are ideal for couples.
