Situated on the river banks of the Klaserie, the Kitara Lodge nestles in the wildlife rich, Big Five Klaserie Private Nature Reserve of South Africa's Greater Kruger National Park. An oasis amidst the magnificent bushveld with its untamed wildlife, it is a peaceful and tranquil paradise where guests can unwind, relax and enjoy adventurous safari drives. The Klaserie Reserve can be found to the west of the Timbavati Game Reserve, covering pristine bushveld on 60 100 ha on both sides of the Klaserie River.
A maximum of twelve guests can be accommodated at Kitara in its luxurious, Victorian-style chalets. Each of the chalets provides convenient amenities and features such as air-conditioning, en-suite bathrooms, outdoor showers, fully stocked minibars, coffee and tea making facilities as well as private patios.
Kitara has four chalets on the riverbank from which fantastic river views can be admired. The other two cottages nestled in the gardens, overlooking the pool and riverbed. The spacious bathrooms are well appointed featuring a bath, shower, and toilet.

Facilities and Services
During their stay, guests enjoy luxurious accommodation with en-suite bathrooms in well-appointed chalets, delicious meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), teas/coffees, snacks as well as two wildlife viewing activities per day. The bar, lounge and library areas make for a comfortable and welcoming place from where to enjoy teas, coffees as well as refreshing beverages while socialising. At the curio shop, guests can find unique memorabilia, clothing, African artefacts as well as amenities.

Delicious meals await travellers at the lodge which are a combination of local flavours with international favourites. Breakfasts are served in the lodge's dining room, or, weather permitting, on the sunny viewing decks overlooking the river. The Boma makes for a beautiful location for outdoor dining on a warm, summer night as well as on a chilly winter evening, with the roaring fire and the candlelight creating an unforgettable atmosphere in the wild.
