The Kuganha Tented Camp nestles within the big five, malaria-free Game Reserve which is only a 2.5-hour drive away from Cape Town.

The Inverdoorn tent can be closed with canvas and mosquito netting allowing for the outdoors to be part of this memorable nature experience. The wooden deck invites guests to enjoy the gentle nature while sipping a cooling glass of wine or beverage.

In the late afternoon, guests embark on their sunset safari through the Inverdoorn Game Reserve where they have the exciting opportunity to admire Africa's magnificent wildlife. In search of the lions, guests learn about the local flora and fauna from the knowledgeable game rangers who are enthusiastic about sharing their information about South Africa's ecosystem.
Home to the 'Big 5' which include lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard, this game reserve in the Western Cape is also home to other game such as zebra, wildebeest, oryx, eland and springbok. The afternoon safari concludes with a visit to the famous cheetah sanctuary where guests enjoy snacks and light refreshments while observing the cheetahs.
The reserve's cheetah rescue and rehabilitation programme form an integral part of Inverdoorn with several cheetahs having been rescued and released into the wild again.
Guided safari drives:
The exciting safaris through malaria-free, Big Five Inverdoorn Game Reserve make up the most interesting part of a stay at the Kuganha Tented Camp. Upon check-in, guests are provided with welcome drinks and are guided to their Luxury Tents. During the late afternoon/evening, guests embark on the sunset safari. When returning to the lodge in the evening, a delicious dinner awaits guests back at the lodge.
Day 1:
During the early morning, sunrise safari, guests enjoy a coffee break within the game reserve making for an idyllic setting. After the safari drive, guests return to the lodge where a sumptuous breakfast is served.
Day 2:
At Inverdoorn cheetah sanctuary, guests may interact with the tame cheetahs. Being able to feel the deep purr of a cheetah in a state of relaxation as they are gently stroked makes for an unforgettable wildlife experience. As cheetahs are sensitive creatures, these encounters are weather dependent and for safety reasons, children 16 years and under are not permitted to interact with cheetahs.
