The Sanctuary Kusini Lodge consists of Twelve tented suites which are built on a stunning rocky outcrop in Serengeti.
The Sanctuary Kusini Lodge is the only permanent tented camp in the southern Serengeti in Tanzania. The Kusini lodge also offers a one of a kind private location within the park with private wildlife viewing.
Serengeti plays host to the great wildebeest migration, and the park itself covers 14,762 square kilometres. The lodge overlooks the plains where the game is standard all year round.
Twelve double tents, each having a personal guide, are built on a rocky outcrop on which the camp's communal areas can be found. Each tent features en-suite facilities, a private veranda, hairdryer, ceiling fan and mosquito netting.
The camps communal areas include a dining area, lounge, library and campfire.
Morning and afternoon safari drives are conducted at the Lodge in customised safari vehicles. The park is home to lion and cheetah populations and is known for excellent leopard sightings.
The famous wildebeest migration can be viewed from the lodge on a safari drive or from a hot air balloon. Full day safari drives and a bush lunch can also be enjoyed at this Lodge. Guests can also assist the Serengeti Cheetah Project with a particular cheetah tracking safari drive, view historical Maasai paintings and enjoy cosmic safaris.
