The Camp

Raised above the seasonal wetlands of the Kwando River, Lebala’s main area is built on stilts and combines a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere with comfortable safari living.

The bar is an ideal place to unwind with a drink while watching weaver birds flit through the reeds or keeping an eye out for passing wildlife, including the possibility of spotting lions.

Location

Lebala is situated within the Kwando-Chobe River System in northern Botswana, part of one of the largest private wildlife areas in the world. The Kwando Private Concession covers approximately 232,000 hectares (573,300 acres) of pristine wilderness.

Lebala airstrip is approximately a 20-minute drive from camp, with light-aircraft flights taking around 45 minutes from either Maun or Kasane.

Lagoon and Lebala can be combined as part of a seamless multi-camp safari, with complimentary vehicle transfers between the two. The approximately three-hour journey crosses spectacular landscapes rich in wildlife, making the transfer an exciting safari experience in its own right.
