Dining at Londolozi Private Game Reserve
Londolozi offers superb cuisine as a part of the safari experience. A variety of culinary delights is there to satisfy guests all day. Morning morsels are on offer on the game drives, a fortifying breakfast follows, and then lunch, indulgent high tea, sundowner treats and a traditional fireside evening banquet or a private dinner. Every ingredient is chosen with care, where chefs favour home-grown organic produce, free range game and herbs from the kitchen garden. The selection of seafood on offer is by the Southern African Sustainable Seafood Initiative. The recipes are a source of great pride as many have been handed down through the Varty family or were created in the Londolozi kitchen.

Game Drives or Walking Safaris
Game drives at Londolozi are run by professional rangers and trackers who are constantly on the lookout for fresh animal tracks in pursuit of elusive animals. Londolozi’s Rangers specialise in photographic safaris, and they give advice and knowledge so that the guests can get the best photograph possible. Exploring the reserve on foot is encouraged as a means of truly engaging in the natural environment.

Varty and Founders Camp can accommodate children between the ages of 4 and 16 years old however game drives only provide children of 6 and older.
At Londolozi, there is an emphasis on family. The Cubs programme aims to educate children in managing and conserving Africa’s incredible biodiversity. The children learn about various cultures and survival in the wilderness.
The Cub’s Den has fish ponds, stationary Land Rovers, campout tents and an Educational Centre. Bushveld excursions are guided by the Cub Coach, who oversees all the children’s activities.

The Londolozi Future-Nature Bush School's philosophy is to build love and enthusiasm for the world. The school promotes caring for people of different cultures and the natural world. At the school, young people are given the opportunity to discover mammals and birds, plants and trees and individuals around them.
Londolozi has also partnered with the Good Work Foundation to create a not for profit organisation promoting the education of disadvantaged people in rural areas.
Through education and aligned building interventions, using the wilderness as the classroom, the partnership influences and invests in young people and helps them to become the best version of themselves, to contribute to their communities and South Africa.

Pioneers Camp (Suites)

Pioneer Camp reflects the history of the reserve as it was here that over eighty years ago the Varty and Taylor fathers arrived after four days of hard travel they erected their tents. They awoke in a splendid panorama of breathtaking beauty.
Unique, peaceful and remote, this wild forest is still the experience at Pioneer Camp. A 510-year-old riverine forest throws dappled light on the three private cottages and provides a climactic backdrop for the camp's past.
This camp can also be converted into a private bush home for family groups of 6 to 14 people through linking glass sky walkways into interconnected family units.
The Old English indulgence reflects our heritage with an African twist. The influences are evident in the elegant cream interiors, silver teapots and Portmeirion crockery. Guest Cottages are themed with historical memorabilia, telling a story of a bygone era and furnishing an environment of free indulgence.
Private Granite Suite

The Private Granite Suites offer an extraordinary experience for the exclusive use of six guests. Granite Suites can be booked individually or as a private camp for six guests, making it ideal for honeymooning couples or a small group celebrating special occasions.

Private and child-friendly, Founders Camp is established to provide an insider’s view of the secrets of river life. Ten spacious chalets in the shade of old trees along the banks of the river. Three of these wonderful cottages have been specially planned to accommodate families on safari with kids rooms.

Two and a half hours transfer from KMIA to Londolozi on request
500 km from Johannesburg, an easy six-hour drive on National Roads Sabi Sands Game
Reserve Road levy per vehicle is applicable plus an additional per person fee
Directions from Johannesburg to the Londolozi Private Game Reserve, South Africa:
- Take the N12/N4 from Johannesburg to Nelspruit
- R40 from Nelspruit to Hazyview
- R536 from Hazyview towards Paul Kruger Gate
- After 37.4km turn left onto a gravel road (sign-posted Sabi Sand Wildtuin 1km)
- Pay entrance fee at the entrance to the Sabi Sand Reserve called Shaws Gate.
On site parking facilities are provided for guests.
