The Mvuu Wilderness Lodge on Lake Malawi can be found within the internationally acclaimed Liwonde National Park and offers the guest a luxurious African getaway.

The rooms are tastefully decorated and cleaned every day and all rooms have fans to help with the heat.

Mvuu means "hippo" in the local Tonga language and refers to the vast numbers of these animals that can be found in the lodge river the Shire. As well as the hippos, a great diversity of animals including; sable, elephant, antelope, impala, and waterbuck can be consulted in the area. Facilities include a dining room, pub, lounge area, library, hide and a swimming pool.

Mvuu lodge staff are professional and charming. The lounge and eating area overlooks the beautiful river filled with, hippos and crocodiles.

The lodge guides are knowledgeable of the wildlife is outstanding and guest can enjoy storytelling. Guest can request walking safaris with sundowners with snacks.
