The Nambiti Plains is amongst the local fauna and flora of the spectacular Nambiti Game Reserve in South Africa's KwaZulu-Natal Province. The reserve is a private bush retreat and game conservancy located on 20,000 acres of the malaria-free bushveld. The Lodge can be reached from Johannesburg by car in just 3.5 hours and within 2.5 hours from Durban.

Guests staying at the luxurious lodge in South Africa have the unique opportunity to watch the sunset over the horizon while observing a pride of lions stalking their prey or looking at a rhino at the waterhole.

During the early morning and late afternoon safari drives, visitors admire the leopard for its beauty and natural strength, watch the family of the African Elephant as they make their way over the plains or watch as the cheetah patiently waits on a hilltop.

The game reserve not only offers guests the viewing of the "Big Five" but being home to incredible biodiversity including savannah, grasslands, thornveld and tall acacia trees, this reserve features many more animals. Several rare African bird species and an array of plains game, as well as the hippopotamus, can be found in the reserve as well.

The Lodge lies within the scenic bushveld landscape that only Africa can portray offering 5-star luxury accommodation for the discerning adventurer. The exclusive suites are designed with the utmost care and detail to impress and exceed the expectations of guests.

The secluded suites are spacious and feature underfloor heating. With spectacular panoramic views from the bath, outdoor shower and private deck, guests can relax in tranquillity. The Lodge offers a family suite, which consists of two separate suites with a shared entrance. The family suite offers guests beautiful views as well as a bath on the deck.

The main lodge lies at the heart of the indigenous forest, perched on the waterhole edge. Guests may relax with a refreshing cocktail on the deck, at the bar or take a dip in the swimming pool and watch as the animals visit the waterhole. In the evenings, guests can look forward to 5-star dinners in the outdoor boma around the fire.

Dining is a memorable culinary journey, a combination of delicious local South African flavours and international twists. Seasonally fresh ingredients are used at the lodge. The Lodge offers a full buffet breakfast. Lunch can be enjoyed on the main deck or privately on the room veranda. Dinner is served in the dining area, in the intimate boma or, weather depending, in the bush for a truly unforgettable experience.

The Conservancy is a private wilderness reserve located on 20,000 acres of malaria-free bushveld in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. The Sundays River flows through this conservancy which is home to the "Big Five" and features two 40 meter waterfalls with magnificent ravine bush and being home to several rare bird species.

Guests are guided through the forest. This trail allows visitors a better chance to enjoy the small animals, which play such a vital role in the bushveld ecosystem. Visitors learn about the unique flora and fauna of the region; the Rangers will enthral guests with their explanations of the traditional medicinal uses of bushes and trees.

Apart from the traditional, open-vehicle safari drives where the game can be observed from a close distance, guests staying here may enjoy & alternative activities which include tours to the Battlefields. The war of the Zulu Kings and the British Empire took place in the hills surrounding the Game Reserve in KwaZulu-Natal. If guests wish to explore the battlefields for a day, a tour with a professional guide can be booked or guests can self-drive with a picnic lunch.
