The Okahirongo Elephant Lodge is possibly one of the remotest lodges in Namibia, Southern Africa, located a two and a half hours flight away from Windhoek. 

The Okahirongo Lodge is in the malaria-free Purros Valley where guests enjoy complete tranquillity and privacy. As the Lodge features its private landing strip, it can only be reached by light aircraft or 4x4 vehicles.

The magnificent Okahirongo Lodge in Namibia does not feature televisions, internet connections or other technological distractions making it the perfect escape from the stress and disruptions that come with our everyday lives.

It has been designed with natural colours and materials for it to blend in with its natural surroundings. The Lodge has done its best to ensure that guests enjoy a natural and peaceful experience with the beautiful nature that surrounds them.

The Lodge offers seven uniquely designed chalets and one suite. The cottages all include en-suite bathrooms with a bath and shower. The tub is positioned in such a way that guests can relax and soak in all the beauty of the surrounding area.

The rooms also provide their private gazebo where guests can relax and read a book or just lie and enjoy the silence of being absorbed by nature. The suite at the lodge is similar to the standard chalets but offers the added benefit of a separate lounge area and an extra room.

Dining at this Lodge in Namibia is a unique experience as the menu changes daily. Guests enjoy Italian-Namibian infused dishes which have been made with fresh ingredients that have been grown on the lodge's grounds.

Being situated in a desert area of Namibia, the activities offered here all include the outdoors. Guests can enjoy sunrise or sunset safari drives where they have the opportunity to observe elephants, black rhino, giraffes and lions in their natural habitat. The Lodge also organises cultural visits to the local Himba Village. Guests can learn more about the culture and gain insight into how the tribe lives.
