The main community project for 2011 to which The Pitse Lodge contributed was the building of a community house for an individual who does a lot of volunteers work throughout the community. Sam assists with the feeding of hundreds of children on a weekly basis, and the staff at Lodge chose to build him a house as he was living far away from where his help was needed.
The house was built and erected in 4 days and with the assistance of Pitse Lodge furniture for the house was also purchased. Electricity is available to Sam's house, and he has necessary lights which he can use in the evenings. Sam is very grateful to his home, and the staff at the lodge hopes to continue to help others in need in a similar manner.
