The Qambathi Mountain Lodge offers guests the allure and charisma of the magnificent Drakensberg Mountains. Located in the Kamberg Valley of the Southern Drakensberg, South Africa, this boutique lodge is the ideal location for every couple’s perfect wedding, either as the venue for the happy event or as a romantic honeymoon destination.

All five of the non-smoking suites at the Lodge offer separate bathroom facilities, including toiletries, as well as under-floor heating, safe, lodge-branded stationery, tea/coffee facilities and hairdryers.

Private decks, sheltered from the elements, are available with three of the suites and guests can enjoy the magnificent views from hanging chairs supplied with these superior suites. The remaining two suites are found in the main building so are closely located to the entertainment areas.

With fantastic garden and mountain views, the Pool Deck and Chill Lounge provide the perfect setting for relaxing afternoons in the sun. The wine cellar, offering an extensive choice of wines suitable for all palates, ensures that delicious sundowners are enjoyed with loved ones, followed by star-gazing around the boma fire.

Art studios, including the Bushmen Rock Art Center at the Kamberg Nature Reserve, are worth visiting, and the charming antique shops, restaurants, wine tasting, cheese making, and chocolate dipping activities provide visitors with a variety of engaging activities within the famous Midlands Meander.

Conferences

Renowned for exceptionally beautifully weddings, the Lodge can accommodate weddings of up to 80 guests. The glorious gardens provide the perfect setting for ceremonies although an old sandstone church, in very proximity to the lodge, is ideal for those couples preferring this option.

The “boutique barn” is well-suited for both summer and winter weddings although couples also have the choice of a lovely forest wedding enhanced by a small river that runs through the indigenous forest.

The main lodge’s deck, with impressive views of the garden, is also ideal for the perfect wedding. Personalised Weddings, tailor-made to match the couple’s interests, can be arranged. These can include golf, hiking, horse-riding, picnics or bush dinners, fly fishing and safari drives through the mountains.
