The magnificent Savanna Private Game Reserve nestles in the game-rich Sabi Sand Reserve which borders South Africa's famous Kruger National Park.
The reserve offers guests the best safari experience when it comes to African wildlife, cultural experience, delicious meals and comfortable accommodation. The facilities of the lodge in South Africa consist of a swimming pool, a dining room, lounge, bar and an open-air boma, all overlooking a waterhole. Sumptuous English breakfasts and lunches are served on the veranda and dinner are served either in the dining room or in the starlit boma depending on the weather.
The game reserve offers nine beautifully furnished suites, seven of which have a tented roof and draped inner ceiling. These suites at the Savanna Lodge offer the sophistication of a permanent structure, which ensure luxury and privacy.
Furthermore, the lodge provides three Executive Suites, each of which offers a private plunge pool, wooden deck and an indigenous garden area. The en-suite bathrooms feature a double washbasin, enclosed toilet, a French bath and an outside shower. The four Luxury Suites are of the equal standard though slightly smaller and without the private swimming pool and outside shower. All suites at the Savanna in Sabi Sands, South Africa, are air-conditioned, provide a tea/coffee station and a well-stocked minibar.
The Savanna covers a vast area of unspoiled African bushveld where exciting sightings of Africa's big game can be enjoyed during early morning, late afternoon and evening game drives which are conducted by professional trackers and guides. Lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, rhino, cheetah, hippo and crocodile, many more animals and over 450 bird species can be observed from the comfort and safety of the open game drive vehicles. The Sabi Sand region in South Africa is well known for the best leopard sightings in the world and is famous as " The Land of the Leopard".
Optional walking safaris are offered to guests staying at the lodge, to experience the beauty and fascination of Africa's flora and fauna. Daily trips from the local Shangaan Village and a tour of the scenic Panorama route is available. These activities are offered during the day and will not affect participation in the daily game drives.
