Tau Safari Lodge offers a total of 32 well-appointed chalets which can accommodate 64 adults.

The Tau five-star lodge, located within the malaria-free Madikwe Reserve, in the region known as the Great Marico and home to the big five.

Deluxe and Family Chalets are also available for children sharing with their parents. The African decor offers a comfortable and relaxing space for guests to enjoy their safari getaway. With large bathrooms and outside showers, the chalets at the lodge, equipped with air-conditioning, a private deck and ceiling fans.

The luxurious Tau lodge overlooks a vast natural waterhole, attracting wildlife which can be admired from the comfort of the chalets and the main lodge.

The main lodge consists of two levels featuring a comfortable lounge, a conference room, and a partially open-air bar and dining room. Gourmet buffet breakfasts, as well as lunches, are served in the main lodge or on the terrace located next to the plunge pool. The mouth-watering dinner at the Lodge is an exceptional experience, served in the outdoor boma under the stars next to the main lodge.

Exciting early morning and late afternoon safari drives at the Tau Lodge go through the Big Five Madikwe Reserve reveal Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Cheetah & an abundance of birdlife and many species of African mammals.

The endangered wild dog, for which this game reserve in South Africa is well known, is prolific in the Madikwe Nature Reserve. Besides adventurous wildlife encounters, guests may relax by the pool and enjoy spectacular views from the deck.
