With over 32 species of frogs inhabiting the AmaZulu Private Game Reserve, Amakhosi Safari Lodge is the perfect place to enjoy a unique frogging safari, along with Big Five experience!  Recent “froggers” include renowned Michelle Garforth, donned their wellies and flashlight in hand and enjoyed the night calls of all that goes “ribbit”.

A frogging safari introduces the Amakhosi guest to a very different bush experience. Guests are supplied with a frogging kit and head out into the reserve at dusk with a guide in search of as many frog species as possible. As frogs are identified, they are caught briefly for everyone to observe these fascinating creatures before being returned to their nightly rituals.
