Directions to Blyde River Canyon Lodge
Please note that GPS alone will take you on a longer route.
Blyde River Canyon Lodge is located at the entrance to the Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve. The lodge is located about four and a half hours north of Johannesburg/Pretoria.
From Johannesburg and Pretoria
Taking the N12 from Johannesburg and the N4 from Pretoria, past Witbank and Middelburg to Belfast.
Turn onto the R540 to Dullstroom and Lydenburg.
Take the R36 to Origstad, Abel Erasmus Pass, then through the Strijdom Tunnel and on to the R527 towards Hoedspruit.
Turn right onto the Jonkmanspruit /Driehoek Road D1803 (please note you have gone too far that if you have crossed the Blyde River)
Travel for 13kms and then turn right onto the Swadini Road. Travel for just 500m.
After the 500m you will see the entrance on your right into the Blyde River Botanical Reserve at the gate you will be guided by the staff to Blyde River Canyon Lodge which is located in the Reserve.
