KwaZulu-Natal's Cheetah Ridge Lodge offers delicious gourmet meals which are served in the welcoming dining area or under the African stars around a crackling boma fire. Outdoor dining in the bushveld setting surrounded by wildlife makes for an extraordinary and unforgettable safari experience.

Game drives
Guests may participate in two 3 hour game drives daily which are conducted in the game rich Nambiti Private Game Reserve. Knowledgeable game rangers guide the safaris in open Land Cruisers, where guests have the chance to admire a fantastic variety of wildlife. Lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards and buffaloes are home in the Nambiti Private Game Reserve.
Bird watching
The Nambiti Game Reserve in South Africa is home to a large variety of species of indigenous birds. Bird watching enthusiasts will have the opportunity to observe these magnificent and colorful birds in their natural habitat.
Swimming
The outdoor swimming pool of the Cheetah Ridge Lodge invites for a refreshing swim in between meals and wildlife activities.
Star gazing
The clear African nights skies make for fantastic star gazing opportunities. The lack of light and pollution in the Nambiti Private Game Reserve allows stargazers to see so much more than in the cities.

Malaria Status and Animals
The malaria free Nambiti Private Game Reserve in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, offers a variety of different vegetation including savannah grasslands and indigenous shrubs and trees.
It is home to the "Big Five", which include lions, elephants, rhinos, buffaloes as well as leopards. Cheetahs, Giraffes, hippos, hyenas, impalas and zebras, as well as other plains game, can also be observed on the thrilling game drives through the reserve.
Children Policy
All children, young or old are welcome to stay at Namibia's Cheetah Ridge Lodge.
The available accommodation is family welcoming. Please note that children under the age of 2 years old ( 24 months ) are not permitted on Game Drives.

The spacious, en-suite rooms at the Cheetah Ridge Lodge offer air conditioning as well as a ceiling fan. King or twin beds can be arranged to meet guests' individual requirements. The Luxury Suites overlook a water hole which is often visited by wildlife which can be observed from the private decks.
Serviced daily and sumptuously decorated, each free-standing suite is equipped with a bath, shower, and en-suite toilet, with a pod-hanging chair, tea and coffee station and Nespresso machine. Mini refrigirator and safe. Air-conditioning & ceiling fans.
Family Suite

The family suite is the perfect option for families with children who would still like the option of being fully catered for. The suite comes complete with air-conditioning and Nespresso machine in each room. The suite is set in the main lodge and consists of 2 rooms joined by a private lounge with a private balcony overlooking the beautiful Nambiti Game Reserve.
The family suite sleeps a maximum of 6 guests with one room having a 4 pillar king size bed and the adjacent room can either have a king bed and 2 singles combination or simply 4 single beds. Each room also has their own en suite bathroom.

Nambiti House

The Farmhouse is the only exclusive use self-catering lodge offering a Big 5 game drive experience on the Nambiti Private Game Reserve.
Ideal for families and groups, The Farmhouse is set within its own fenced-off garden complete with a plunge pool, providing a secluded family-friendly environment, with access to the main Cheetah Ridge Lodge facilities on request.
Comfortable accommodation for up to 10 people is provided in 5 spacious bedrooms, the largest of which has its own en-suite bathroom, making this the perfect safari getaway destination for families and groups.

Directions
Directions from Johannesburg to the Cheetah Ridge Lodge, Nambiti Private Game Reserve:
Head for Ladysmith on the N3.
Once you have entered KwaZulu-Natal via Van Reenen, look out for the Ladysmith Toll off-ramp (at the bottom of Van Reenens Pass).
Turn left and head towards Ladysmith on the R103.
When you arrive in Ladysmith, drive straight through, following the N11 Road to Newcastle.
From the last traffic lights leaving Ladysmith travel for about 7kms.
Turn Right onto the D45 Road, follow for about 10kms, at the Y-Junction turn right, travel alongside the game fence for 2 km until you reach the gatehouse which is staffed.
Directions from Durban to the Cheetah Ridge Lodge, Nambiti Private Game Reserve:
Travel on the N3 through Mooi River Toll Gate, past Escort to Ladysmith (direction Harrismith / Johannesburg).
After Escort, take the Bergville / Colenso R74 (R103) off-ramp/exit 194, turn right at the top of the off ramp and travel past Colenso towards Ladysmith / Newcastle.
Cross the bridge (Klip River [also known as First Wagon Bridge] into Ladysmith and continue following the directions for the N11 to Newcastle.
Look out for the following landmarks: Marks Tyres on left, Game on the left and Kentucky Fried Chicken on the left.
At the traffic light intersection with the Caltex Petrol Station on the left continue straight over the railway bridge and past TFS on the left and under another railway bridge.
At the next traffic lights continue straight (N11) towards Newcastle.
Travel for 10kms and look out for the brown Nambiti sign on the left and a small sign is reading D45.
This sign is also to the left of the N11.
Turn Right onto the D45 Road (road), travel for 10,3kms; turn right at the Y-Junction (onto the D46) and travel for 2 km until you reach the entrance to Nambiti Private Game Reserve (Electric Gate and Thatched Gate-house).
