Malaria Status and Animals
  • Chelinda Lodge is in the large Nyika National Park in Malawi. A wide variety of animals can be seen in the park including roan, eland, zebra, reedbuck, bushbuck, warthog, hyena, jackal, elephant and leopard.

    Chelinda Lodge is also a paradise for bird lovers with approximately 400 bird species found in the Nyika National Park. 

    Bird species include the Red-winged Francolin, Pallid Harrier, Augur Buzzard, Mountain Cisticola, Mountain Marsh Whydah, Blue Swallow and Denham's Bustard.

Social Responsibility
  • Wilderness Safaris, the owners of Chelinda Lodge, have partnered with the Nyika-Vwaza Trust, an independent organisation, that is involved in collaborative conservation efforts in the region.

Chelinda Lodge offers eight double story bungalows. The ground floor of each log cabin features an open plan bedroom and lounge with queen size bed and en-suite bathroom while upstairs an additional living space ideal for children can be found. One of the bungalows is larger than the others which are perfect for families. Each unit features a fireplace and verandah. All the cabins are connected by wooden walkways.
