A maximum of ten guests can be accommodate at the Duba Explorers Camp sharing in five tented rooms.  Guests enjoy a fully inclusive safari journey at Duba with all activities, meals, park fees, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages included (excluding imported and premium spirits).  The six tents are built on a wooded island, overlooking a lagoon.  An elaborate set of bridges connects the tents to the prolific wildlife area.

The tents are made of light airy canvas and set on slightly raised decking, each of which offering magnificent views of the surrounding floodplain. Stylishly furnished with an 'expedition’ and ‘exploring’ style, the tents feature a writing desk and private verandah in addition to en-suite bathroom facilities including a flush loo, double vanities and indoor shower.

Directions

The Duba Explorers Camp is only accessible to guests by scheduled air transfers or private air charters. On arrival at the airfield, the transfer to the camp takes about ten minutes. The camp's airfield is licensed for aircraft as large as a King Air, Pilatus PC-12 and Cessna Caravan.

The distance from Maun to the camp's airstrip is 130km, and flying time in a Cessna Caravan is between 30 and 45 minutes. The Duba Explorers is about 290km away from Kasane with a flight time of an hour in a Cessna Caravan. Flying times vary depending on the type of aircraft used and prevailing weather conditions.

The camp is only accessed by light aircraft through the nearby airstrip. Daily flight connections, from and to, all other camps in Okavango and the main airport at Maun (for links to Central Kalahari, Nxai, Makgadikgadi and Johannesburg) and north to camps in Linyanti, Chobe and the main airport at Kasane (for connections to Livingstone and Victoria Falls). Flights into the camp will be organised for you when a booking is made. Please contact us for further details.
