Game viewing

Hot Air Ballooning in the Chobe Region from Elephant Valley Lodge

Operating from Elephant Valley Lodge over the Seloko Plains of the Chobe Region, extending from Zimbabwe to merge with the Chobe National Park and the Kasane Forest Reserve; offering spectacular scenery and the chance to see wildlife from a magical perspective across a diverse habitat including wide grassland plains and forests. A truly memorable experience not to be missed!

 Details: 

  • The balloon safaris operate 1st May – 15th September 2020 and are weather dependent. 
  • Meeting time at accommodation reception (Kasane) – to be confirmed                         
  • Approximately 45-minute transfer to the balloon launch site
  • Upon arrival observe the balloon being inflated ready for flight
  •  Balloon Safari of approximately 1 hour over the Seloko Plains
  • Keeping with tradition on landing, the flight will be celebrated with sparkling wine and orange juice
  • Commemorative flight certificates presented by the pilot
  • Transfer to the five-star Kazuma Camp for breakfast
  • The entire experience takes approx. 6hrs from pick to drop off.

Children Policy
    •  All children are welcome to stay at the Elephant Valley Lodge in Botswana.
    •  Children under the age of 12 years pay 50% of the per person sharing rate when sharing with two adults.
    •  Children under the age of 12 can go on safari at the sole discretion of the Lodge Manager or Guide.
    •  Children younger than six years cannot take part in safari.

Directions

There are numerous ways in which the lodge can be reached, they include daily flights into Livingstone, Victoria Falls or Kasane.
The transfer time is approximately 1 hour from either airport and will bring guests to either Kazungula crossing in the case of Livingstone or the Botswana - Zimbabwe border post in the case of Victoria Falls. At the Kazungula crossing ( the border between Zambia and Botswana) a short boat trip will ferry guests to the Botswana side where an Elephant Valley Lodge game viewer will be waiting to meet guests.
