Chimpanzee tracking

Starting from the Kanyanchu Visitor center, this thrilling walk takes about 2 - 3 hours.  There is a 95% certainty that Chimpanzees are discovered during the walk and observed.  In East Africa, the Kibale Forest is the best destination to see chimpanzees.  Other primates such as the Red-Colobus Monkeys and the Mangabey can also be encountered here.  During the track, professional rangers share their in-depth knowledge about the local wildlife and plants.

Chimpanzee Habituation Experience

This is a once in a lifetime experience!  Travellers have the unique opportunity to accompany the national park's research and habituation team and observe them during their daily activities.  Participants spend a full day watching chimpanzees in their natural habitat and watch them feeding, de-nesting, playing and fighting.

Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary

The walk to the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary is lovely and interesting.  Being rich in beautiful scenery and biodiversity, this wetland sanctuary in Uganda is a birder watchers paradise.  About 138 species live here.  Situated just outside of the Kibale National Park in the Magombe Swamp, this wetland is home to eight species of primates.

Children's Forest Walk

The Children's Forest Walk in the Kibale National Park has been designed for kids who are too young to participate in the Chimpanzee tracking.  During the time when parents enjoy the Chimpanzee experience, children enjoy a forest walk whilst learning more about the parks ecosystem.  After the walk, fun filled activities and games await.

Visit to the tea estates

The Kibale Forest is surrounded by large tea plantations.  During a visit to one of these green tea estates travellers learn about how the leaves are processed and changed into tea.
