A lovely outdoor swimming pool awaits guests which is located near the perimeter of the park.
Game Walks
For the more adventurous safari travellers, trained game rangers take them on an early morning or afternoon game walk through the untamed bushveld.
Game Drives
Experienced rangers and trackers provide visitors with the opportunity to enjoy informative early morning and evening game drives through the 'Big Five' Kruger National Park. Game drives especially geared for children are available for kids between 6 and 16 years of age.
Bush breakfast and bush braais
The bush breakfasts and bush braais/barbeques make for a memorable dining experience in the Kruger Park. For the famous bush braais, the thrilling game drive takes participants to an open location which is filled with lanterns and fires creating an excellent wilderness atmosphere.
While listening to the calming sounds of the bushveld with its untamed wildlife and the solitary animals calling, the meals are grilled on open fires. A delicious variety of sausages and game meat are available as well as vegetables and salads. Deserts and coffee/tea complete this enjoyable evening in the bush.

Children are welcome at this SANParks Rest Camp but those under six years may not go on the game drives and only children 12, and older may continue the game walks.

The thatch-roof Huts are ideal for guests wanting basic accomodation. The hut has either two to four single beds and is fully self catering, making use of communal camp facilities. Rate is based on 2 guests only, additional people will be at an extra cost.

Access By Road via the Crocodile Bridge Gate from Gauteng:
Take the N4 to Nelspruit and head through Nelspruit to Malelane and on to Komatipoort (about 110km).
Then turn left onto the R571 just after Komatipoort and head on to the gate.
Allow between 5 to 6 hours for the trip to the gate.
This Camp is 34km away from the gate.
Allow about 2 hours for the drive to the camp, however if you want to enjoy the game viewing possibilities and drive a bit slower, count in extra driving time.
Access by Air:
The closest airport to the Lower Sabie Rest Camp is the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA) in Nelspruit. KMIA is located about 25km from Nelspruit and about 120km from the Crocodile Bridge Gate. There are daily scheduled flights between KMIA and OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, as well as flights from Cape Town and Durban International Airports.
