Activities, Sports & Leisure

Game drives

Included in a stay at the Rhino River Lodge, which nestles in the Zululand Rhino Reserve are the unique opportunity to participate in two game drives daily, one departing in the early morning and one departing in the afternoon.

Exact departure times vary depending upon the time of year and the weather and will be coordinated with the professional game ranger.  The game drives are conducted on the open-air safari vehicles and lead by an experienced and knowledgeable game ranger.

Safaris provide close encounters in the Zululand Rhino Reserve in search of the many animals, birds and wildlife that can be found in this part of southern Africa.   The adventurous game drives take a break at a picturesque spot, with coffee and tea in the morning and sundowners in the afternoon.

Walking Safaris

Guests staying at the Rhino River Lodge may enjoy the bush trail which is an interpretative guided walk with an experienced game ranger and a small group of guests.
