Gorilla Trekking
Venture into the wild jungle of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and have the unique opportunity to admire the silver ridge gorillas in their natural habitat. A gorilla permit is required and once the location has been reached where gorillas can be observed, one hour is spent in their company.
Forest Walk
As a UNESCO World Heritage site, Bwindi in Uganda is a fantastic place to visit. Besides the gorillas, this particular region of Africa is home to rare forest elephants, giant forest hogs and eleven kinds of primates. These primates include the blue and red tailed monkeys, the black and white colobus, as well as baboons and chimpanzees.

Birding Walks
Being home to over 350 bird species, enthusiastic birders can participate in a walk through the park accompanied by an expert local guide. The bird species found here in Uganda include 24 which are endemic to these highlands, the Albertine Rift Endemics.
Game Drives in the Queen Elizabeth National Park
Travellers may participate in the thrilling game drives situated in the south of the Queen Elizabeth National Park. This National Park in Uganda is famous for its tree-climbing lions, the savanna elephants, its buffaloes, topi, hippos, various bird species, warthogs and the leopard. It is in the Ishasha Sector pf the park where one has a chance to encounter the tree-climbing lions. This exciting game drive usually takes a whole day during which travellers stop for lunch at the hippo pool.
Community Walk
Surrounded by the Bakiga community, guests have the chance to enjoy a two hours walk visiting a tea farming project, a local beer brewery, the local hospital, to the nearby village and a visit to the medicine man. End your cultural visit with a traditional performance by Batwa community.
Batwa Tribe Experience
This full day activity includes a three-hour walk followed by an hour with the Batwa. Guests enjoy the music performance, the visit by the goddess, a hunting and gathering demonstration and a chance to learn how people live here.

Children Policy
Children of all ages are welcome at the Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp in Uganda.
Children aged 2 and younger stay free of charge.
Children aged 3 - 15 pay child reduction rate when sharing with two full paying adults.
In all other circumstances, children pay the applicable adult fare.
Children aged 15 and younger are required to share with their parents.
The minimum age for gorilla trekking is 15 years.

Every villa has a personal attendant to fulfil your every need. For enhanced wildlife viewing from your veranda (and at Bwindi generally), state-of-the-art Leica binoculars are provided for every guest on arrival and are also available in the Explorer’s Lounge. Each villa also has a minibar, desk, telephone and safe, plus two sculptural hanging chairs made from ribs of varnished wood, suspended from the veranda porch and ideal for observing monkeys.
