Perched atop a rocky kopje in Loisaba Conservancy, Laikipia County, Kenya, Loisaba Star Beds command breathtaking views across a vast valley and its permanent waterholes, where wildlife moves freely through the untamed landscape. It is an experience unlike any other.

The four tented rooms are set within lush surroundings, each featuring the lodge’s signature rolling beds. As night falls, these handcrafted beds are wheeled onto open-air platforms, inviting guests to drift off beneath a dazzling canopy of uninterrupted African stars.

Days are just as memorable. Guests can explore the conservancy on game drives and guided bush walks, or opt for horse riding, camel safaris, mountain e-biking, and fishing. There is also the unique opportunity to observe anti-poaching efforts firsthand. Exceptional cuisine complements the adventure, with memorable dining moments including bush breakfasts and scenic sundowners.

Following the milestone rhino translocation in 2024, Loisaba is now home to a thriving population of 27 eastern black rhinos, including six calves born since the programme’s inception. Alongside elephant, lion, leopard, and buffalo, the chance to encounter rhino adds a remarkable dimension to the experience — offering guests an authentic Big Five safari within a setting deeply rooted in conservation.
