Activities, Sports & Leisure

Walking Safaris

All the walking safaris conducted from the Africa on Foot Camp in the Klaseri Game Reserve of South Africa are led by qualified game rangers.  The game rangers have all had training on how to approach wild and dangerous animals.

Before guests descend on their thrilling walking safari, the rangers explain exactly what to do if a dangerous situation should occur and how best to approach the animals so that they may have the best experience possible.

While partaking on walking safaris, guests have the opportunity to see the smaller things which are missed during game drives such as animal prints, insects and animal droppings. The game rangers provide guests with all the information regarding the animals that left the tracks, the fauna and flora, the insects and anything of interest while on safari.

The walking safari truly allows visitors to experience the African bush up close and personal from the smells, the sounds and prickling of the long grass as one walks through it.

Game drives

Games drives through the beautiful Klaserie Private Nature Reserve are by far the most popular safari activity guests partake in when staying at a lodge. Game drives allow visitors to get safely up close to the wildlife.

All game drives are conducted in 4x4 vehicles and are led by experienced and specially trained guides. The vehicles are all open roof vehicles and offer the advantage of being higher than the ground level which provides for easier game viewing and spectacular photo opportunities.

Swimming

The Africa on Foot Camp in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve of South Africa's Limpopo Province offers a swimming pool where guests can relax and cool off from the summer sun.
