Dining at Chobe Chilwero

At Chobe Chilwero, all meals are freshly prepared and can be tailored to each guests culinary preferences and needs. Guests can enjoy panoramic views over the Chobe River and floodplain while enjoying fantastic meals.

English and continental breakfast is served before departing on the morning game activities. Then for lunch, guests can make their pizza or enjoy a three course plated meal. Afternoon tea is followed by a fabulous game viewing activity or sundowner cruises, and then guests are treated to pre-dinner drinks before sitting down to a three-course dinner.

Special romantic private dinners under the African sky and Chef Phinias's signature dish is a Botswana beef fillet with seasonal vegetables. Other popular dishes include grilled Impala with port and chocolate sauce and fresh chocolate brownies. Chobe Chilwero's temperature controlled wine cellar offers a variety of South African wines which are the perfect complement to the delicious meals.

The Chobe Chilwero Game Lodge boasts the first full spa in a Botswana game lodge. All the products and treatments at the spa are environmentally friendly.

The relaxing spa treatments are done in private rooms, one of which is suspended in the tree tops. Treatments include Anti-Aging Facials, Conditioning Body Massages, Bath Rituals, Anti-Aging Body Experiences, manicures and pedicures. Natural, organic and chemical free products are used throughout the spa.

Wildlife activities

Game drives at Chobe Chilwero are conducted in open-sided vehicles while sundowner cruises are also available for guests staying at the lodge. Specially designed riverboats allow visitors the opportunity to see buffalo up close and elephants as they wade down the river.

Three of our suites also have an additional adjoining smaller bedroom with twin beds, which works well for families or guests who want extra space.

As well as a superking-sized bed and an ensuite bathroom with freestanding bathtub, the Pool Suite also features a private garden and large decked terrace with its own plunge pool, fire pit, and shaded daybed area.

Directions

The Chobe Chilwero Game Lodge can be reached by road and air. The nearby Kasane has its own international airport, which is approximately 10 minutes away by road. Flights and road transfers are available to/from Livingstone in Zambia. Road transfers take approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.
