Game drives

Twice a day, guests may participate in the thrilling game drives with professional game rangers and trackers. Home to the "Big Five", the Kapama Private Game Reserve allows visitors to encounter Africa's magnificent wildlife in its natural habitat.

Walking safaris

During the exciting bush walks, guests have the chance to encounter Africa's untamed wildlife on foot and get familiar also with the smaller animals which live in the bushveld.  The armed game rangers share theirs in-depth knowledge about the region's unique flora and vegetation which include medicine plants.

Elephant Back Safaris

Instead of participating in the early morning safari, guests have the chance to meet the Kapama elephant herd.  It is here where trained elephant handlers show travellers how to get on the elephant’s back.  Each of the elephants is guided during this adventurous walk.

Hot Air Balloon Safari

What better way than to start your day with an exciting Hot Air Balloon Safari over the magnificent, African bushveld!  Watch the animals below as they walk through their natural habitat in the early morning when flights are at their best.

A dip in the outdoor swimming pool which faces the forest makes for an excellent refreshment during the warm afternoons.  Guests are invited to relax and soak in the sunshine in between game drives and activities on the sundeck next to the swimming pool..
