The scheduled game drives take place early in the mornings and late in the afternoons / evenings when game watching is at its best.  Admire the reserve's magnificent wildlife from a close distance which is home to the "Big Five" (lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, leopard).  Professional trackers and game rangers share them in depth knowledge of the wildlife, the region's flora and vegetation and the rich birdlife.

Walking safaris

Walking safaris through the untamed Kwandwe Private Game Reserve are thrilling experiences during which guests learn about the smaller animals which live in this region as well as the plants, grass and flowers found here.

Save the Rhino Drive

The 'Save the Rhino Drive' provides 3 - 4 hours of tracking a rhino with a specialist ranger and tracker team.  Guests learn about the habits of this endangered species, as well as about rhino poaching and the reserves own conservation efforts.  This activity can be booked at an additional cost, a minimum of two guests are required and one needs to be 16 years or older in order to participate in this extraordinary wildlife activity.

Photographic Safari

The private photographic safaris and tutorials are tailor-made to meet the individual requirements of guests.  There is no age limitation for this activity, guests of all ages are welcome.  A minimum of two guests is required in order for the private photographic safari to take place.  This specialized safari and the tutorials cost an additional fee and are not included in the lodge's safari overnight package.
