Visit to the Venda Village

This village was constructed on the ruins of an old Venda Village. Guests staying at the Popallin Ranch in Limpopo, South Africa, have the opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge of how the Venda lived a hundred plus years ago. Pottery, hut construction and dancing the Domba to the beat of the African drums can be observed here.

Wildlife encounters

Guests may enjoy adventurous game drives and boat trips on the Nwanedzi River. Horseback riding, guided walks, bird-watching and day trips to the 'Big Five' Kruger National Park are also available for guests. The impressive lion and buffalo breeding program can also be visited during a stay at the Lodge.

Golf

Guests may enjoy a pleasant game of golf on the D.D.V. Design Par 3, 4 and five golf course which ranges from 127 meters to 435 meters in length. This golf course is a nine-hole course with eighteen tees; its total length is 4000 meters. Being entirely fenced in, it is safe from the wildlife.

The De Wet's Camp is fully catered and features 14 beautifully equipped en-suite chalets which take guests back to a bygone era of colonial elegance and hospitality.

The open-air lapa dining area, bar facilities, as well as a comfortable lounge area, is available for guests. The Camp offers a plunge pool which invites for a nice refreshment on a warm day. 1. Fly Johannesburg to Polokwane (approx 90 minutes) followed by a road transfer from Polokwane to the Ranch (approx 2 hours)
2. Road transfers which takes about 5 hours from Johannesburg

3. Continue the ramp and merge onto N1
