Directions

Directions from Johannesburg:

Join the N12 and follow it to Witbank.
The N12 joins the N4 which follows onto Belfast.
At Belfast turn on to the R540 and follow it to Dullstroom and Lydenburg.
Pass through Lydenburg (Mashishing) and onto the R36 towards Origstad.
In Origstad follow the R527 over the Abel Erasmus pass and through the JG Strydom tunnel towards Hoedspruit.
Pass through Hoedspruit and turn left onto the R40 (R530).
After 17km turn right into the Main Balule Nature Reserve Gate (Olifants West).
PLEASE NOTE: A conservation levy will kindly be charged in cash by the Balule Conservancy on entrance per vehicle and per person.
Follow the Olifants road for about 4km until the Sable Road is reached turn left.
800m down Sable road you will reach the Sausage Tree turn off on your left.
Follow the road for 300m to camp.
