Chalet
Taita Falcon Lodge offers seven stylish en-suite chalets, accommodating a maximum of 18 people. The chalets blend comfort with the joys of staying in nature. Each chalet is named after one of the birds of prey that can be seen soaring the skies around Taita.
Every chalet has its own secluded garden space and an outdoor shower as well as an indoor lounge area, a stone shower and bathroom. The décor is simple, yet stylish, with hints of handmade crafts and several natural features, blending with its wilderness surroundings. Each chalet has been designed and built using local materials, with stones from the gorge and reeds from the nearby river. In the winter months, hot water bottles are put in the beds in the evening and in the summer, mosquito coils are lit in the rooms for added protection.
The stone pathways are lit by lanterns leading the way from the main lodge to the privacy of the chalets, each nestled into the bush.
Enjoy falling asleep to the sounds of the wild and the flowing waters of the Zambezi River and wake to the sounds of the amazing birdlife that surrounds; a truly magical experience!
